The 2023 Ahanas of Hule’ia
Family Scholarship
Nothing is more powerful than the story that lives within you.
In the 1800's, Chun Lin Hung Ahana and his wife Jay Shee immigrated from China to start a new life on Kauai. Once here, they built a successful rice plantation in Hule'ia Valley (Puhi), became respected leaders and contributors in their community, and raised twelve amazing children. The stories and values of these original Ahanas of Hule'ia have lived on through six generations of Ahanas on Kauai and beyond.
The Ahana family congratulates the class of 2023 and your families on this tremendous occasion of your high school graduation.
As you venture off in search of your futures, we invite you to honor your past and your ancestors through an application for the Inaugural 2023 Ahana Family Scholarship. An award of $1250 will be given to one graduating senior this year.
*Application period is currently closed.
